National Historic Wynne-Russell House
Historic Tour Saturday, July 27 at 10 am

Join us on Saturday, July 27 at 10 am, for a Historic Tour of the house and property.

You will learn about the Wynne and Russell families and their amazing home that still stands on its original location 193 years after being built in 1826.

The tour is FREE (though donations toward the preservation of the home are always welcome) and family friendly.   No reservations are required for the tour.  We hope you will come and visit this Lilburn treasure!

Rent the House for your Event!

The intimate historic setting will make your personal event one to remember.  The house is great for hosting bridal/baby showers, weddings, graduation/birthday/holiday parties, and reunions.  In addition, the size and layout of the house makes it a great place to hold meetings, workshops, photo shoot and other like activities.  The house has a large meeting room which can hold about 30 people with tables and chairs.  The other two downstairs rooms provide additional seating and there are tents available for outside use to accomodate more guests.    Click here for more information

Lilburn Ladies in Action

The Lilburn Woman’s Club (LWC) continues their remarkable contributions to our community.
Lilburn Woman's Club Collecting Used Shoes
Can you believe that over 600 million shoes go into landfills across the United States annually and the majority of these shoes can still be worn!  GFWC Lilburn Woman’s Club Conservation Program is collecting new, used and gently worn shoes until August 2nd in partnership with Funds2orgs.  This collection will keep shoes out of landfills in our area while sending the collected shoes to developing countries.  All donated shoes will be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of micro-enterprise (small business) partners. Funds2Orgs works with micro-entrepreneurs in helping them create, maintain and grow small businesses in developing countries where economic opportunity and jobs are limited. Proceeds from the sale of the shoes collected in shoe drive fundraisers are used to feed, clothe and house their families.
Let’s check our closets for shoes that we’ve out grown, are out of style, or are out of season.  Men’s, women’s and children’s shoes are needed in all sizes and styles!
