Monday, March 17, 7 - 9 pm. Lilburn City Hall- Gwinnett County Commissioner Lynette Howard will be hosting a "Listen and Learn" session to inform her Lilburn constituents about County initiatives and news.
Lilburn International Festival Meeting
Monday, March 17, 5:30 - 6:55 pm. Conference Room, Lilburn City Hall. The Lilburn Community Partnership invites organizational leaders and interested residents to join in the discussion as it firms up plans for Lilburn's First International Festival to be held Saturday, Sept. 13, 2014.
Lilburn Business Association Meeting
Tuesday. March 18, 11:30 am - 1 :00 pm, Killian Hall located at 908 Killian Hill Rd. Business meeting, lunch and speaker. Click LINK for details and to register.
LCP Business After Hours
Thursday, March 20 from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. Residents and business operators, plan now to attend Business After Hours at the Lilburn Community Garden site located on Camp Creek Rd. near Lilburn City Park. You will get a chance to talk to Community Gardeners and tour the site. Area landscapers are invited to be on hand to give some timely tips on yard maintenance. Business operators are encouraged to bring a door prize for a giveaway and get extra time to talk business. Kroger on Hwy. 29 will be supplying refreshments.
Taste of Lilburn on Saturday
Saturday, March 22, from 2:30 - 5:30 pm. Lilburn City Hall Auditorium, 76 Main Street. Taste of Lilburn will feature food samplings from 7 top Lilburn restaurants: 1910 Public House, Bambinelli's, Oyster Barn, Rivals on Five, Spiced Right, Taqueria Los Hermanos, and Three Blind Mice. Tickets in advance 2/#25 and $15 each at the door. Go to www.lilburnevents.com for tickets. Also look at silent auction items on the Community Bulletin Board page at www.lilburncp.com. Proceeds to benefit the Wynne-Russell historic house.
Maxwell Summer Camp for Registration Open
March 3 - May 16 -Registration for Middle School Summer Camp is open. Check out the great camp offerings for students in grades 6, 7, and 8 from June 2 to 5 from 8 am until noon for $75. Click this LINKfor a flyer or go to the school web site: www.maxwellhigh.com.
GCPS Snow Make-up
Don't forget that Gwinnett County schools will be extending their school hours by 30 minutes from March 3 through May 4.
April Rabies Clinic
Saturday, April 5 - SafetySmart Lilburn will host a Rabies Clinic in the City Hall overflow parking lot from 9 am to 12 noon. For more details and pricing, please visit www.safetysmartlilburn.org
Easter Egg Hunt in City Park
Saturday, April 12 in City Park. Bring your baskets. The City of Lilburn is partnering with the Downtown Development Authority for the annual Easter Egg Hunt in Lilburn City Park. This free event begins at 10 am with the egg hunt beginning promptly at 11 am.
The Easter Egg Hunt is for children up to 12 years of age. Parents are not allowed on the field, except with the 0-3 years age group. A special needs area will be available and parents are welcome to participate.
Great American Clean-up in Lilburn
Saturday, April 26 from 10 am to 2 pm in the overflow parking lot (76 Main St. Lilburn) - The following items will be accepted at the event at not cost. Secure paper shredding, electronics recycling, bulk trash (no construction materials), cell phones, clean towels, washcloths, socks and t-shirts for animal shelter, tires, and scrap metal.
Gwinnett Cleanup Challenge
Gwinnett Clean and Beautiful is hosting the Great American Cleanup Gwinnett Challenge now through May 31. Volunteers will work together to beautify neighborhoods, reduce waste, initiate recycling programs, and plant trees. The challenge is open to businesses, local governments, school and church groups, civic groups, athletic teams and individuals. Information: www.gwinnettcb.org.
